Likhandra Art Society, India is a registered cultural organization, established on 19 May 2023, and recognized as an MSME under the Government of India.

Based in Madhya Pradesh, the organization is dedicated to promoting art education and advancing contemporary and indigenous art practices through research-driven curation and grassroots engagement.

The Society works closely with artist communities to build sustainable creative ecosystems that preserve traditional knowledge while encouraging contemporary innovation.

It places special emphasis on promoting tribal artists of the region, ensuring direct economic benefits, fair market access, and long-term livelihood opportunities for artisans.

Dr. Ankita Jain
Founder Profile

Dr. Ankita Jain

Dr. Ankita Jain is an Indian curator, visual artist, researcher and art consultant based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with over twelve years of experience across contemporary art practice, research, pedagogy, design and cultural programming.

Her work operates at the intersection of curatorial research, visual storytelling, spatial design and community engagement.

She holds a Ph.D. in Drawing & Painting from Barkatullah University and was awarded the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (JRF & SRF) by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.

As the founder of an independent art society, Dr. Ankita Jain is dedicated to promoting art, culture and creative entrepreneurship across India by building platforms that provide visibility and market access for artists and artisans.

She organizes exhibitions, art fairs, cultural programs, conferences and workshops while supporting skill development, design innovation and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
